Bengaluru: A couple of unidentified criminals broke open PWD contractor’s home and evacuated with money and gold assets, while he and his family were away at Tirupati.

The episode occurred at PWD contractor Sundaram Naidu’s home in Vidyaranyapura police station limits. The thieves apparently fled with Rs 9 lakh in cash, 447 gm of gold assets and four kg of silver decorations.

As indicated by police, the criminals had cut open the window flame broil and went into the house. They at that point broke open the main gate of the house and evacuated with the valuables.

The episode came to light when Sundaram and family came back from Tirupati and found the gate and window of the house broken. He immediately informed Vidyaranyapura police and lodged a complaint.

The police have enlisted a case and started investigation.
