Thirthahalli: Vehicle movement has been restricted on the Kuruvalli-Balebailu bypass road of National Highway 169A as a precautionary measure due to landslides.

A few days ago, a retaining wall had collapsed, causing soil to spill onto the road. Despite this, the road had been made accessible for vehicular movement.

However, continuous strong winds and heavy rains have caused further soil erosion, leading to the restriction of vehicle movement for the safety of the public. Barricades have been placed to close the road.

Thirthahalli DYSP Gajanan Vaman Sutar, National Highway Engineer Naveen Raj, and several other officials are present at the site to monitor the situation.
