Thokottu: Mother killed, daughter injured after falling off flyover

Thokottu: A 50-yr-old woman was killed while her daughter has been hospitalized after being flung off their scooter in a road mishap here on Thursday, May 20.

The deceased is Vasanti(50) and the injured is Shreeja (20), both residents of Kumpala were headed towards Jeppina Mogaru on their scooter when the mishap took place.

As per reports, a four-wheeler rammed into the divider and collided into the bike after the car driver lost control of the vehicle.

Owing to the impact of the collision, the mother-daughter duo were flung off the scooter and fell from the flyover.

While Vasanti was killed on spot, Shreeja suffered serious injuries.

She is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Derlakatte.
