Bengaluru: Pulakeshinagar MLA Akhand Srinivas Murthy said that he is still apprehensive about his safety and feels under threat all the time.

“Those who burned my house will not end at that. They will stop only after burning me. We are on the streets after our house was burned. My life is still under threat,” he said.

Speaking to reporters on the issue of bail being granted to former mayor Sampath Raj, the prime accused in the DJ Halli violence case, he said, “Our fight will continue. I pressed for action against Sampath Raj. We also appealed to the KPCC president. However, the president has still not taken any action.”

“Will not talk much about the bail. I will accept that but the guilty must be punished. I believe in god and god’s justice,” he added.

“I will keep fighting. The media has supported me and I believe they will help me in future to get justice. I do not know why DK Shivakumar is standing in support of Sampath Raj. Media must question him. I might be an outsider but have won with the highest votes. I will be writing to Sonia Gandhi regarding this issue,” Murthy said.
