Threat call to builder, two arrested

- Threat call from Bannanje Raja
Udupi: Prabhakar Poojary, proprietor of Classic Builders, has reportedly received a threat call in the name of underworld fugitive, Bannanje Raja and has lodged a complaint with Malpe police. As a result, the police have taken into custody Katpadi residents, Dhanaraj Malpe and Ullas for questioning.
Incident
It is said that since a couple of days, the entrepreneur used to get telephonic call, asking him to meet the caller at specific spots, but, at the last minute, he used to skip the meeting. Poojary again received the call on Monday asking him to come near Malpe beach. However, the victim informed Malpe police about the situation and went ahead with the meeting as the police lay in wait for the culprits to turn up. The businessman reached the spot and in some time, two persons came to meet him and handed him a cellphone.
Phone call
The speaker on the other side introduced himself as Vicky Poojary and told the victim that the latter had earned lot of money in the name of Bannanje Raja. He demanded a share in the money failing which he would be murdered.
Meanwhile, Malpe police nabbed the two Dhanraj and Ullas, subjected them to interrogation and also registered a case.
