Three alleged naxals visit locals near Shiradi

Puttur: Three persons with weapons allegeddly naxals visited three houses in Mittamajalu village near Addahole forest in Shiradi on Sunday.
It has been reported that the three persons who alleged themselves to be naxals barged into three homes and demanded food and got their laptop and cellphone charged before returning to forests.
It is said that the trio including a woman were in possession of guns. All the three were aged between 30 and 35 years.
However, Dakshina Kannada district superintendent of police Sudheer Kumar Reddy said that it is yet to be clarified whether the three were Naxals.
Reddy said a case under the arms act and all relevant sections will be registered at the Uppinangadi police station.
