Three Congress leaders join BJP

Mangaluru: Three Congress leaders, who had quit the party joined BJP party at the district BJP office on Sunday, November 3. Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath welcomed the leaders after handing over the party’s flag to them.
The three leaders who joined BJP are All India Catholic Union state secretary Deepak Attavar, Sidney Fernandes and Naveen Vas.
Addressing media after joining the party Deepak Attavar said, “Though we all worked hard for the development of Congress party, the party never identified my sacrifice and service.”
He further added, “99 per cent voters from Christian community support Congress party, but they have not taken any measures for the welfare of the Christian community. Hence, we informed our decision to MLA Vedavyas Kamath and joined BJP.”
BJP leaders Ravishankar Mijar, Bhaskarchandra Shetty, Nithin Kumar, and others were present on the occasion.
