Manipal: The three-day ‘Rajata Udupi’ beach Utsav in Malpe will begin on Friday, January 20.
The utsav is being held as part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the formation of the Udupi district.
The national swimming tournament in the Arabian Sea will be held, in which over 1,000 professional swimmers will compete in relay swimming contests spanning distances of 5 km, 7.5 km, and 10 km/1.25 km.
Men’s kabaddi will be played between 4 and 7 p.m. on each of the three days, and women’s throw ball will begin at 10 a.m. on January 22.
Three days of the wine festival will also be held while the kite flying competition will start on January 21 at 4 p.m. On January 22, there will be a dog show and competition.
Activities that people can partake in include Jet Skiing, Wind Surfing, and Banana Ride-Kayaking. Additionally, visitors can go ziplining, cliff diving, fishing, and take a helicopter ride.
Every day from 6 pm to 10 pm, Music concerts will be held. Rajesh Krishnan and Chandan Shetty will perform on January 20. Raghu Dixit’s and Kunal Ganjawala’s performances are scheduled for January 21 and January 22 respectively.
