Three farmers commit suicide in Karnataka over loan burden, crop failure

Bengaluru: Three farmers at three different regions in Karnataka state have committed suicide after they fail to repay their debts due to crop failure and other reasons. Siddaiah Swamy (45), a resident of Chithrali village, located at Sindhanuru taluk of Raichur district committed suicide by touching high voltage electric lines. Another farmer Nanjappa (65) from Lakshmidevarahalli of Tumkur district committed the act by hanging self where as Thippanna (40) of Chandapura Thanda located at Shahapur taluk died after taking poison.
