Three former US presidents are offering to take the Covid-19 vaccine publicly: All you need to know

Three former presidents say they would be willing to take a coronavirus vaccine publicly, once one becomes available, to encourage all Americans to get inoculated against a disease that has already killed more than 273,000 people nationwide.
According to HT, Bill Clinton, George W Bush and Barack Obama — three of the four living former presidents — conveyed their offer in public remarks to CNN and SiriusXM on Wednesday. There was no word on the fourth, President Jimmy Carter, who is the oldest among them and beat cancer in 2015.
The main purpose of their campaign is to raise awareness about the Covid-19 vaccine and to encourage all Americans to get vaccinated against the disease.
As reported by Live Mint, The Food and Drug Administration will consider authorising emergency use of two vaccines made by Pfizer and Moderna later this month, but current estimates project that no more than 20 million doses of each vaccine will be available by the end of this year. Each product also requires two doses, meaning shots will be rationed in the early stages
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention decided earlier this week that high-risk health care workers and residents of nursing homes and other long-term care facilities will be the first to receive vaccines
