Three from Dakshina Kannada-Udupi selected for state-level Best Teacher Award-2022

Belthangady/Karkala: Three teachers from the district have been selected for the Best Teacher Award-2022 instituted by the Karnataka state government. Amitananda Hegde, Radhakrishna T, and Sanjeeva Devadiga are among those selected for the prestigious award that recognizes excellence in teaching.
Amitananda Hegde
Belthangady: Amitananda Hegde is currently serving as the Head Teacher in charge of Bangadi Government Higher Primary School. A resident of Ujire Pilikunje, Hegde has served as a teacher and community education resource person in and around Belthangady.
As the secretary of Bharat Scouts and Guides organized various programs for teachers, students, and the community.
He has received many awards including the district-level best teacher award of 2021.

Radhakrishna T.
Belthangady: Radhakrishna T. is currently serving at Koyuru Government pre-university College as a science teacher. He has been engaged in the teaching profession for the past 24 years. For his exceptional service, Radhakrishna has received many awards including District-Level Best Teacher Award.
Originally a resident of Peruwai village in Bantwala taluk, he currently resides near Kutyaru in Belthangady.

Sanjeeva Devadiga
Karkala: The head teacher of Miyaru Government Primary School, Sanjeeva Devadiga has been serving as a teacher in rural areas for the past 29 years. He is a resident of Durga village of Karkala taluka.
Beginning in 1994, Sanjeeva Devadiga has served at various schools before being transferred to Miyaru about 4 months ago.
