Krishnagar: Three farmers were killed and five others injured when lightning struck them at Gajna in Nadia district today, the police said.
The incident occurred when the farmers were working in a field during rain and thunderstorm. When the victims were brought to the Krishnaganj rural hospital, three persons were declared brought dead.
The five injured were admitted to the Shaktinagar hospital, the police said.
