Three killed, several injured after marriage party’s bus topples in Tumakuru

Tumakuru: Three people were killed, while nearly 30 others were injured in a bus mishap near Sira in this district, police said on Friday.

The incident happened on Thursday evening when the bus ferrying nearly 50 people overturned near a curve near Mekerahalli, they said.

The victims were heading for a reception at Maligehatti, after attending a wedding at Bettashambaganahalli, when the incident happened.

The injured were shifted to hospitals in Sira and Tumakuru, officials said.
