Three men killed in a road accident

Kittur: Three men were killed on the spot and two severely injured on Monday when the car they were travelling in turtled at Degulhalli in Kuttur taluk.

The deceased have been identified as Mallikarjun (25) of Mandya, Sudheendra Gowda (26) of Hunasur and Raghunath (25) of Bengaluru. Car driver Mohammed Riyan of Bhadravathi and Amit R P sustained injuries in the accident.

The five men were returning to Bengaluru from Goa. The mishap took place when the driver of the car lost control over the speeding vehicle. The car turned turtle and hit a tree killing three on the spot.

The police have registered a case.
