Time ‘ripe’ to introduce Uniform Civil Code: CT Ravi

Bengaluru: Addressing a news conference, Minister for Culture and Tourism,  CT Ravi said that the time is ‘ripe’ to introduce the Uniform Civil Code in the country.

“Everyone talks about equality. Those who desired inequality in the past are now seeking equality. The time is ripe to bring Uniform Civil Code,” he said.

Responding to a media query on whether UCC was discussed at the party forums, the minister said that the UCC has been part of the party’s agenda since the party’s inception in 1980.
