Times of Kudla editor Shashi R. Bhandimar passes away due to heart attack

Mangaluru: Shashi Bhandimar (41), chief editor of Times of Kudla passed away due to a heart attack in Nagaland on January 29.

Bhandimar is survived by his mother and wife. He was well-known for his efforts to preserve and promote Tulu culture and traditions. He had been publishing the Tulu weekly Times of Kudla for the past 15 years.

In addition to his contributions to journalism, Bhandimar was active in small-scale industries and the hospitality sector. He had traveled to Nagaland for work related to his wood processing factory when he fell ill.

A former president of Padubhagavathi Theeya Samaj Seva Sangha, Padubondanthila, Bhandimar was actively involved in various local organizations. He was recognized and honored by multiple Tulu associations for his significant contributions to the community.
