Tirthahalli: Woman rescued by firefighters after accidentally falling into well in Kudumalligai

Tirthahalli: A woman was rescued by firefighters after accidentally falling into a well in Kudumalligai.

The incident occurred near Indiranagar in Chaudikatti when Gulabi Pujarthi (58) slipped and fell into a government well.

After falling into the well, Gulabi managed to hold on to a strong branch inside the well and stayed there until the evening, when locals discovered her.

Upon receiving information, firefighters from the Tirthahalli fire station rushed to the spot. The team successfully rescued Gulabi, who sustained minor injuries. She was later taken to the Tirthahalli Government Hospital for further treatment.

Firefighters Santosh Shetty, driver Prashant Kumar, Sharath M, Shashikumar, and Ningappa Ittannanavar, along with local residents, were part of the rescue operation.
