A video of a woman police inspector carrying an unconscious man on her shoulders before bundling him off in an autorickshaw to a nearby hospital has been going viral on social media.
Netizens have praised the efforts of Chennai police Inspector T Rajeshwari to ensure the safety of the man whom others had presumed to be dead after a tree branch fell over him amid the incessant rains lashing across the city.
“Save his life at any cost. Ensure that he is saved,” Rajeshwari can be heard saying in the video to the people who volunteered to take the man to a hospital for treatment.

The man Udhayakumar, 28, works at the cemetery and was found lying outside the Kilpauk Cemetery. As per reports the police control room got a call informing them about a man’s death after a tree branch fell over him on Thursday morning. When the police team tushed there, Rajeshwari noticed that Udhayakumar was alive and carried him on her shoulders and also mobilized people to take him for further treatment.
