Bengaluru: In an offer to check question paper leaks, the state department of pre-university education(DPUE) will deliver question papers to the examination centres through online mode.
The decision will be executed on a pilot premise amid the second PU supplementary examinations to be held from June 29 to July 10. Authorities said that two exam centers have been decided for the purpose this time.
DPUE director C Shikha educated that with this move, there would not be any physical exchange of question papers to the examination centres.
“The question papers will be sent by means of email to the chief superintendents of the centers more than two hours before the exam. They should make courses of action to get the question papers printed after downloading them,” she said.
In 2016, the Karnataka PU education department was hit by question paper leaks in two exams of second PU. A few people were arrested and the leaks had blended a noteworthy discussion, other than costing the PU office a loss Rs 62 lakh. From that point, a high-level committee was framed which made a few recommendations, the chief among them being transfer of question papers to exam centers through online mode.
Authorities said that the effect of the online transfer of question papers on a pilot premise would be contemplated, and if successful, would be executed in the second PU examinations from next year onward.
