Today’s Navaratri Worship: Kushmanda, giver of good health, strength, and wealth

Maa Kushmanda,  the fourth avatar in Navadurga forms created the world with her divine smile.

She created the entire universe, also called ‘Brahmanda’ with just a flash of her smile and she is also the source of energy and light as it is believed that she lives inside the sun and provides energy and direction to Sun God (Surya Dev).

The sun gives life to the world and Goddess Kushmanda herself is the power of the sun and is the source of all energy when she resides within the core of the Sun God.

It was to create a balance in the universe and provide life to all living beings from the sun rays, her power gives the sun its capability to give life to everyone, as she herself is Shakti.

Maa Kushmanda has eight hands, owing to which she is also known as ‘Astabhuja’ Devi. Devotees worship and pray to the Goddess for good health, strength, and wealth.
