Toll rule: single fee for 12 hours?

Udupi/Padubidri/Ullal: Is it true that if a vehicle proceeding in one direction pays one way toll fee and returns within 12 hours need not pay the return toll fee?
“No need to pay the return fee”, is what the minister for road transport and highway Nithin Gadkari has said claims a message going vial on whatsapp and other social sites.
When sources in NHAI were questioned about this, they respond that message on whatsapp cannot be believed. We cannot say anything until there is an official order, they inform.
“This information has not come to us. According to the NHAI project director, this is a fake news,” said Udupi deputy commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis.
NHAI highway four laning project’s project manager Vijay Samson spoke and clarified that no such order had come to them.
The manager of Hejmady, Talapady and Sastan Navayuga toll gate Shivprasad Rai said that we have not published anything in this regard on the highway for the public. Even on the slip provided after paying the toll, only the time is mentioned. If one returns within 15 minutes, they nonetheless have to pay the toll again. Also if a two way toll has been paid, the time will be mentioned on the slip and also it will be mentioned on that it is valid or 24 hours.
This message in connection to toll collection has been making rounds since Saturday morning. Other than a car driver seeking more information from the toll staff in this connection, there was no one untoward incident in this regard, inform the Talapady toll gate staff.
