Tollgate Virodhi Horata Samithi urges closure of Surathkal toll gate before Aug 15

Surathkal: The Tollgate Virodhi Horata Samithi, Surathkal, has decided to hold a protest if the toll gate is not closed before August 15.

Despite the assurances by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, and Mangaluru North MLA Y. Bharath Shetty to close down the toll plaza within 90 days from March 22, the toll plaza continues to function.

Speaking with this regard Samithi president Muneer Katipalla said that as there are restrictions in the district following the recent incidents were are not able to hld any protes but if the Surathkal toll gate is not closed before August 15, we will resort to gherao, stoppage of toll collection.
