Mudigere: As monsoon picks up pace in the state, mother nature has begun blooming. Lush greenery, picturesque waterfalls, and mists covering the mountains make feel like heaven. One such view can be observed on the Charmadi Ghats, which connects Dakshina Kannada to Chikkamagaluru. To capture the scintillating view, tourists throng the ghat every year. Some enjoy the breathtaking view while some in the name of enjoying the view, are reportedly found obstructing the vehicles passing by and causing a nuisance.
According to the reports, this time too, many vehicles were seen parked in the middle of the road. Some of them not only parked their vehicles obstructing others’ way, but also were observed crossing the road to take selfies, without noticing the vehicles coming in their way. In the name of ‘adventure,’ some of the tourists try to trek on the boulders, which are slippery and life-threatening.
As per the locals, all these mischiefs are on the play due to a lack of caution boards. They say that even though the police patrol in regular intervals, the ‘mischievous’ tourists try to escape and continue the same act, in some other area on the ghats.
