Traffic disruptions due to Landslides: Railways to run additional services between M’luru-Bluru

Due to continuous heavy rainfall over the past few days, landslides have caused disruptions in vehicle movement on the main national highways connecting Mangaluru and Bengaluru, including the Shiradi Ghat section.

Against this backdrop, MP Captain Brijesh Chowta wrote to the General Manager of South Western Railway and the Mysore DRM, requesting to run additional train services between Mangaluru and Bengaluru.

Responding to Captain Brijesh Chowta’s request, railway officials have decided to operate special trains between Bangalore and Mangalore.

The scheduled trains are:
– Train number 06547 will depart from SBC Bengaluru on July 19.
– Train number 06548 will depart from Mangalore Junction to Yeshvantpur on July 20.
– Train number 06549 will run from Yeshvantpur to Mangalore Junction on July 21 and 22.
– Train number 06550 will depart from Mangalore Junction to Yeshvantpur on July 21 and 22.
