Traffic policeman on duty at Nanthoor assaulted: Two arrested

Mangaluru: Constable Yatish of Kadri traffic police station who was on duty at Nanthoor circle on Thursday was assaulted by two people who came in a car. The accused assaulters who came in a car bearing KA 19 MK 3529 number plate, have been arrested by the police.
The accused are Irfan (31), who drove the car and is a resident of Krishnapura 7th block and Abdul Aziz (52), a resident of Sampya in Puttur. The duo were arrested by Kadri police.
Yatish who was on duty at Nanthoor circle had asked the car which was causing traffic jam to stop. But the car driver ignored the order and proceeded and because of which, the constable took a photo of the car. Infuriated by this, the driver of the car turned the car around, approached the constable, verbally abused him with foul language and then assaulted him with their bare hands.
A case in this regard has been booked ay Kadri police station.
