Train rams over platform at Wadi Junction

Kalaburgi: Solapur-Guntakal passenger train hit Platform-4 leading to wall collapse at Wadi Junction in Kalaburgi district on Thursday morning.

Luckily, the incident did not injure any people but a few parts of the train were heavily damaged.

Due to repair work, the train was redirected to Platform-4 from its usual stop on Platform-1 or Platform-3. The crash occurred because the Platform-4 was smaller in size (width). There was noise and shudders after the collision.

The spot and damage was inspected by the Railway officials and an enquiry is aid to be conducted.
