Trainer arrested for sexually harassing minor girls in Sullia

Sullia: A dance trainer was arrested based on the allegation of sexually harassing minor girls taking part at his dance classes on Tuesday May 15th.

The arrested has been identified as Madhusudan (28) from Beeramangala in the taluk.

Madhusudan has been holding classes at the gram panchayat building in Guthigaru village here since sometime. Parents in order to make optimum use of summer holidays, send their girls to his classes held under the name, ‘Gubbachchi Guys’. Since the last three days, some parents had observed that their minor daughters were reluctant to attend dance classes. The children finally revealed that they were undergoing sexual harassment at the hands of their teacher.

On Tuesday, the parents went to the spot where classes were being held and found that the accused was involved with ugly behaviour with several students. They filed complaint in Subrahmanya police station.

Investigation revealed that the accused used to create sections in classes by erecting screens and touch body parts of minor girls in the guise of teaching dance. He also is said to have threatened the girls of not teaching them dance if they complained to their parents.

Subrahmanya police have arrested the accused, registered a case and investigating the case.
