Koppal: The transfer order issued to Koppal Superintendent of Police Dr Anup Kumar Shetty has been put on stay by the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) on Tuesday.
Transfer orders were issued to 18 IPS officers on March 9. It was issued on recommendation of the Election Commission for the upcoming state assembly election which is likely to take place in late April or early May.
As per the order, Anup Kumar Shetty, who is yet to complete his one year in his current position, was transferred to the Intelligence Bureau of Bangalore.
Shetty challenged the order and filed a petition with the CAT and termed the transfer order as ‘not as per norms’.
