Tree falls on bike-borne man, dies on spot

Hassan: In a tragic incident a bike rider was kiiled on spot after a tree fell on him, here on Sunday.

The deceased is identified as Ranga Shetty (40), a resident of Kallasomanahalli village of Channarayapatna taluk.

Ranga Shetty was returning from Channarayapatna to his village on a bike when a tree came down right on him. Due to the impact, he died on the spot.

The tree was uprooted due to strong winds.

Later, the body was recovered by the firefighters after lifting the tree with the help of JCBs and a crane.

A case has been registered in the Channarayapatna Rural Police Station.
