Triumph launches Scrambler 1200 XC in India at Rs.10.73 lakhs

Triumph Motorcycles has launched the new Scrambler 1200 XC model in India at Rs.10.73 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). In global markets, the Scrambler 1200 is available in two variants – XC and XE, in which the base XC version alone has been offered for the Indian buyers.
Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC is an off-road oriented adventure bike with modern classic styling. It offers the riders with a choice of five riding modes – Rain, Road, Off Road, Sport and Rider. The standard features of the bike include a dual-channel ABS, switchable traction control and a slip and assist clutch. The bike also gets full-LED lights, Triumph’s 2nd generation TFT display with a 5-way joystick on the switchgear, a new double-cradle chassis and disc brakes (dual at the front and single at the rear) at both the ends.
The new Scrambler 1200 gets powered by the same parallel-twin engine of Thruxton, that comes in a tuned version with a slightly reduced power and torque figures of 89bhp @ 7400rpm and 110Nm @ 3950rpm respectively. Triumph has informed that the engine has been tuned for achieving a strong low and mid-range. The fuel-injected engine gets mated to a 6-speed Manual gearbox.
Triumph has already opened the bookings for the Scrambler 1200 XC across its showrooms in India. Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC will toughly compete with the likes of Ducati Scrambler 1100 and BMW R Nine T Scrambler
