Karkala: A heated argument between a couple over a seemingly trivial issue turned fatal, resulting in the tragic demise of both individuals. The incident occurred on June 25 in Nallur, Karkala taluk.

The deceased have been identified as Imanuel Siddi (40) and Yashodha (32), hailing from Yellapur.

According to sources, the dispute over television between the couple escalated on Sunday morning. The situation quickly spiraled out of control, leading Yashodha to jump into a nearby pool of water. Immanuel, who reportedly jumped into the pool for rescue, also lost his life as both individuals drowned.

Imanuel and Yashodha had been employed at a plantation farm in Nallur for the past two years. The heartbreaking incident has left a 10-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl orphaned.

Following the incident, Police personnel, including Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Aravind Kalagujji, reached the scene and are investigating.
