3 dead, several injured in truck-bus collision

Hospet: Three labourers of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural employment Guarantee Act(nREGA) died and several others were injured in a tractor bus collision at Gallorahalli NH-50, here on Thursday, April 25.

The accident had occurred at around six in the morning, informed the villagers.

The deceased have been identified as Eriswmay(27), Renukamma(35) and Mallamma (45).

As many as 30 labourers from Chilakanahatti village were travelling on Bengaluru-Gangavati road when the mishap occurred. The injured were immediately rushed to the hospital and are being given treatment at Vijayanagar institute of Medical Sciences(VIMS) hospital.
