Tulu meet in Mangaluru on Feb 23, 24: Tulunadu Rakshana Vedike

Mangaluru: Tulunadu Rakshana Vedike’s founder-president Yogish Shetty announced on Saturday that a “Vishwa Tulu Sammelana” (Taulava Ucchaya) will be held here under the auspices of the Vedike on February 23 and 24 next year as part of the decennial celebrations of the Vedike.  

Speaking to reporters Mr Shetty informed that several programmes including cultural events, art and crafts of Tulu culture, drama, dance and Yakshagana performances would be held during the two-day event.

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, Leader of Opposition B S Yeddyurappa, state Ministers Jayamala, U T Khader and Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel would be invited for the function, he informed.

Mr Shetty said that the Vedike would pass a resolution demanding a separate railway division for Mangaluru
