Mangaluru: Soon, a museum showcasing the culture and tradition of Tulunadu will come up on the premises of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL).

The rich Tuluva culture including Tulu Daivas, Yakshagana, Pad’dana and others will be depicted in the museum which is being built at an estimated cost of Rs 83.53 lakh. After Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar gave the green signal for the project the Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy prepared a report and submitted to MRPL.

Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy’s outgoing president AC Bhandary informed that officials of MRPL have agreed to set up the museum and handover the project for verification. Although the museum proposal was sent to the MP four months ago, the occurrence of Lok Sabha election caused delay to the process of preparing an action plan for the project. However, it will be a reality soon hopes Mr Bhandary.
