Tumakuru: Two teachers killed, 2 others injured after car topples

Two teachers died on the spot while two others sustained serious injuries after their car overturned near Kanivenahalli Gate on the Pavagada-Tumakuru route late at night on Saturday, May 11.

The deceased have been identified as O Dhananjaya, principal of  government junior college high school in Pavagada, and Srikrishna, headmaster of Gowdeti High School. The injured identified as R M Narasimha and Venkatachalapathy have been shifted to a hospital in Bengaluru for treatment.

The mishap took place when the four were returning to Pavagada after attending the wedding reception of their colleague Shobha’s daughter in Tumakuru.

Circle Inspector Suresh of Pavagada town police station visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
