Bengaluru: Police officials have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with the murder of a 28-year-old homemaker in Yarabnagar, Bengaluru.
It is said that the accused had an affair with the deceased woman Afreen Khan who was his aunt.
The accused teenager said that his aunt wanted to elope with him, when he resisted, she attacked him with scissors, which he snatched from her hand and stabbed her.
He then tried to burn her body by setting the body on fire. Neighbours who noticed thick plumes of smoke coming out of the house called the police control room. Her husband, Lalu was taken into custody but they did not find his role in the crime.
However, Afreen’s sister said that that the minor boy often visited Afreen’s residence and police took him into custody. During interrogation, he admitted to having committed the crime.
