Police have arrested two notorious rowdies in connection with a shooting incident that occurred in Vamanjoor Mudushedde on January 6.

The arrested identified as Badruddin and Imran are known to be leaders of the banned Popular Front of India (PFI) organization. It has been revealed that the pistol used in the shooting was unlicensed.

The shooting occurred at Badruddin’s second-hand sales shop when he accidentally fired the gun injuring a man named Safwan, who was sitting in front of a printer. Safwan sustained serious injuries.

Initially, Safwan tried to mislead the police, claiming that he shot the gun by accident and that the weapon had been given to him by a person named Bhaskar. However, after a thorough investigation by senior police officers, the truth came to light. Forensic and ballistic experts confirmed that such an injury would not occur if the gun was fired accidentally. Further investigation, including eyewitness testimony and CCTV footage review, exposed the real sequence of events, Mangaluru Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal told media.

The police also revealed that Badruddin had received the pistol from Imran, and Safwan, who was injured, was also a member of the PFI.

Questions Remain About the True Target

The police are continuing their investigation into why Badruddin, a leader of the banned PFI organization, possessed an unlicensed pistol and who his actual target was in this shooting incident.
