As cricketers Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubham Gill, Navdeep Saini and Prithvi Shaw have been put in isolation after breaching Cricket Australia’s bio-security protocols after a video of dining indoors in a restaurant in Melbourne on Friday surfaced on social media.
While the cricketers were slammed for not following the safety protocols, an unverified bill paid by a cricket fan has driven a controversy as one of the ordered items mentioned a beef dish.
Sharma found himself being dragged into the beef controversy as netizens shared mixed opinions on the bill.
Some users went on to call Rohit call a “hypocrite” for being vocal about animal rights and then conveniently “consuming” beef at an Australian restaurant.
