Two arrested for killing Ola cabbie for not sharing booze

Bengaluru: About two months after the murder of an Ola taxi driver, the Nandini Layout police have captured the culprits. 

The captured – Mallikarjuna and Mahalinga were acquainted with the victim, Kapini Gowda false name Kumar (34), and admitted to having killed him since he refused to share his alcohol with them. 

On May 17, when the police first discovered Kumar’s body in the locked cab, they suspected that he had died with suffocation and subsequently registered a case of unnatural death. In any case, the reality of the situation was uncovered when the post-mortem reports showed that he was murdered. 

A case of murder was enlisted on July 3 and the police focused in on the accused amid the course for their investigation. In their confession to the police, the accused confessed to killing Kumar and after that putting his body in the taxi.
