Two cloth merchants held for selling ganja

  • 1.4 kg ganja seized

Bajpe: Two cloth merchants were arrested by Mangaluru city police for possession and sale of ganja and 1.4kg of ganja valued at Rs. 20,000 was seized by the police.

The arrested merchants have been identified as shop owner Mohammed Nawaz and salesman Mohammed Riyaz. Both the accused have been booked under NDPS Act in a case registered at Bajpe police station.

Based on a credible tip-off that owners of a readymade garment shop were selling ganja, the police raided the shop situated in Kaikamba and found 1.4kg of ganja.
