Two dead, two critical after having coffee, poisoning suspected

Bagepalli: In a suspected case of poisoning two persons died and two others are critical after consuming coffee at their residence in Bagepalli on Friday, January 18.

The deceased are Akkalamma (80), her daughter Narasamma (55).  While Arathi (4) and Aravind (5) grandchildren of Narasamma are battling for life at Devaraj Urs Medical College Hospital in Kolar.

It is gathered that the four after consuming coffee in their home on Friday morning fell sick and started vomiting, though they were immediately rushed to hospital Akkalamma and Narasamma died on their way to the hospital, While Arathi, Aravind are undergoing treatment and are said to be in critical condition.

Chikkaballapura SP Karthik Reddy, DySP Prabhushankar, Circle inspector Niaz Baig, PSI Chandrakala visited the spot and investigating the case.
