Two held for murderous assault on staff for serving cold samosa at Falnir hotel

Mangaluru: City police have arrested two persons accused of firing and destroying furniture at the MFC hotel here in Falnir on October 30 last year.
The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Sameer aka Sameer Kadapara (29) and Mohammed Irfan (23). Four others — Ijaz Mohammed, Junaid Siddique, Bashir and Abubakar have been arrested earlier in connection with the case.
On October 30, the accused along with four others — Ijaz Mohammed, Junaid Siddique, Bashir and Abubakar had gone to the MFC hotel for having snacks. Later, they got into an argument with the staff for serving them ‘cold’ samosa.
The argument escalated into a fight and the accused are said to have damaged the hotel property. While two of the assailants tried to flee the spot in a vehicle, MFC staffer gave them a chase but he was shot at by Sameer Kadapara.
A case had been registered at Mangaluru South Station in this regard.
