The operation was conducted under the directions of city police commissioner, Sandeep Patil, and guidance of deputy commissioners of police, Hanumantharaya and Laxmi Ganesh, and Panambur assistant commissioner of police, Srinivas Gowda. The operation was led by Mulky police inspectors, Sathish and Siddaraju, and sub-inspector, Sheetal Alagur, with the support of other personnel.
The police have already drawn a net to catch the absconding accused and have also intensified their probe with the hope that several more theft cases could get solved. Apparently, the thieves moved about like normal citizens in the stolen luxury car during the day and indulge in thefts at night.
