Two killed, eight injured in under-construction building collapse

Bengaluru: Two labourers were killed while eight others sustained injuries after an under-construction building in APMC premise in RMC Yard in North Bengaluru, collapsed on Friday, April 5 early morning.

The deceased have been identified as Rahul, a native of Bihar and Rakesh from West Bengal. The injured labourers were shifted to nearby hospitals

According to RMC Yard police, the labourers were at work when the support structure on the third floor of the under-construction multi-level car parking building collapsed along with the concrete structure at around 4.40 AM.

A case has been registered under IPC section 304-A and the builder has been booked for criminal negligence causing deaths and endangering lives of other labourers.
