Two killed on spot in Jeep accident

Bengaluru: Two men were killed on spot when their jeep was crushed between a truck and a bus. The accident took place in Thippagondahalli near Nelamangala at around 8.30 pm on Friday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Kemparaju, (34) and Rakesh, (28) residents of Gangothri Nagar in Tumakuru. They were returning to their home in Tumkur from Bengaluru in a Mahindra Bolero. Kemparaju was driving behind a Sea Bird Travels bus. When the bus slowed, he too slowed down. However, the truck coming from behind crashed into the jeep, the police said.
The passersby on the road informed the traffic police about the accident. The police rushed to the spot and used a crane to detach the crushed jeep and remove the bodies from inside the jeep.
The driver of the truck is absconding after the accident and the police are in search of him.
