Every day, a 22-year-old Sikh chaat vendor from Mohali, near Chandigarh, puts on a business suit and sells street cuisine. He and his brother sell a variety of delights, including golgappa and aloo tikki.

Harry Uppal, a Youtuber and food blogger, recently paid a visit to this chaat booth and spoke with the young man about his business and what makes his dish special and unusual. He explained that he had been working hard for a few months and that he had started this stand with his own money. He described how the epidemic damaged everything after he launched his shop, making it difficult for him and his brother to survive.

He described how, in order to make ends meet, they used to sell tea during peak covid times.

But the most crucial question is why does he serve his customers in a business suit? He claimed to have studied hotel management and was advised to always dress smartly. As a result, he prefers to attend to his customers while dressed in a suit.

“Ye bas hotel management ka sign hai (this is just a sign that I have done hotel management). I have a degree in hotel management and we want people to know it and people do know our story,” he said.

He even demonstrated how he prepares all of his dishes with pure desi ghee. He claims that he creates fresh batter for all of his dishes every day and that it is so popular that it is gone before the end of the day.

After setting up and closing their shop, the boy and his brother get up around 6 a.m. and go to bed by 12 a.m.

In the future, he stated that after his shop generates more than it requires, he plans to open a tiny shop called “I Love Punjab.” In addition, he intends to develop his chaat company.

If you ever find yourself in Mohali, make it a point to taste the chaat from this vendor. The location is mentioned in the video’s description.
