Two stabbed to death in Belagavi petrol bunk

Belagavi: In a gruesome incident, two people were stabbed to death by assailants on Wednesday at Shiva Petrol Bunk in Kittur near the Kittur-Dharwad border.

The deceased are identified as Manjunath Pattanshetty (28), a resident of Lingadalli village in Kittur, and Mustaq Beedi (30), a resident of Tigadolli village in Kittur. The incident took place when the duo was on the night shift at the petrol bunk.

As per the sources, one of the body was found near the fuel dispenser while that of the other was inside the office.

The assailants after murdering the duo fled away with with the cash kept in the office drawer.

A case with this regard has been registered by Kittur police.
