Two villagers electrocuted to death

Kalaburagi: Thippavva Kinagi, 65, and her brother Narasappa Kinagi, 60, residents of Mashal town in Afzalpur taluk of Kalaburagi, purportedly died of electric shock at their residence on Monday morning. 

The episode came to light on Monday night following grievances from neighbors. Thippavva endured an electric shock while taking bath and in an offer to save her, Narasappa also got electrocuted and the two died on the spot. 

In the mean time, the villagers and Dalit associations in Mashal organized a protest demanding compensation to the dispossessed family. 

Both the bodies have been sent for a postmortem examination. A case has been enrolled in Afzalpur police headquarters.
