Two villages in Dakshina Kannada dist achieve 100% vaccination

Mangaluru: Badagannur and Siribagilu in the Dakshina Kannada district here have achieved 100 per cent vaccination of all residents above 18 years of age.

Siribagilu comes within the Kombaru gram panchayat in the Kadaba taluk of the district and has a population of 872 out of which 571 were eligible for the vaccination.

The village, located near a forest area, achieved full vaccination on July 19.

Badagannur village had 1,045 eligible beneficiaries.

There were a few residents in both the villages who refused to get vaccinated and health officials took a written undertaking from all of them over the same.
