Two youth arrested for drug peddling

Mangaluru: Two youth were arrested on the charges of drug peddling by the City Crime Branch (CCB) police and Economic and Narcotics Crime Police on Saturday night. Drugs, weighing machine, a motorcycle and mobile phones in the possession of the accused were seized by the police.

The arrested have been identified as Javed (28), son of Hussain, a resident of Nettarakere Bantwal and Shah Nawaz (33), son of Ilyas, a resident of Thokkottu.

Based on credible information, CCB Inspector Shivprakash R Naik and Economic and Narcotics Crime Police Inspector Ramakrishna K rushed to PVS circle and caught the accused. The police seized 24gms of MDMA, weighing machine, a motorcycle and mobile phone worth Rs 2,20,100.
